i stayed in a private room with a bunk bed accommodating up to 3 guests. the room was basic but clean and tidy. the location is convenient with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and shops. the included breakfast exceeded my expectations with a variety of options including waffles and dairy-free alternatives. the staff was extremely friendly and honest, as I experienced when they returned my forgotten phone and cash.

I chose the Lincoln Park area because it was close to the Lincoln Monument, and I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bicycle rental at Getaway. The strong wifi connection and free daily coffee bar were also great features.
Inconsistent room temperature and limited breakfast options.

My stay at this hostel was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel right at home. The location was perfect, nestled on a charming street just minutes away from the bustling restaurants and bars of Lincoln Park. The hostel offered great amenities such as free Wi-Fi, a shared kitchen, and air conditioning, which made my stay comfortable and convenient. The cleanliness of the hostel was top-notch, and the value for money was unbeatable. I can't wait to return on my next trip to Chicago.
The lack of variety in the breakfast options. It would have been nice to have some toast or other alternatives to the sweet items provided.

Beautiful kitchen and common area with great facilities, social space, close to cafes, shops, and subway.

We had a great weekend at Getaway. The location was perfect, with lots of nearby attractions. The continental breakfast was okay, but the full kitchen was a plus. The staff was friendly, and we got a good night's sleep in a quiet room. We will definitely stay here again!

great location - walking distance to tourist spots - shops & restaurants. staff were helpful & worked hard to keep things clean. loved the inclusive breakfast - with varied choices including dairy-free options.
Would definitely recommend.
